I’m a firm believer that movie tastes are organic. They constantly change as we’re exposed to new things. If you don’t believe me, take a second to think about what your favorite movie is now compared to 10 years ago, 20 years ago, or longer. How about your favorite actors, actresses, directors, and movie characters? Surely things have changed. Here’s how it plays out for me.

Since it’s Bastille Day this week, I’m going to continue to honor French film. Today’s topic is an easy one. You see, there’s something of an ulterior motive when it comes to watching French movies. Namely, some of the most incredibly beautiful women in the history of cinema have been French icons. Here are ten that will make you want to stand at attention and sing La Marseillaise:

100 Things I Love About the Movies

I passed a milestone recently here at TDYLF. Thanks to the help of the editors over at IMDB, I passed the 100,000 Hits milestone on Sunday (with a whopping 80,000+ of those hits coming just since September 30th). To celebrate, I’m beginning a brand new series called “100 Things I Love About the Movies”. To be sure, there a LOT more than 100 things that I love about the movies. As such, this has the potential to become a series- 100 Things I Love About Horror Movies, 100 Things I Love About Foreign Movies, and on and on. I present to you the first edition of “100 Things I Love About the Movies”.
